Sunday, November 19th, I’m doing a zoom preview of my historical dramedy about the Transcendentalists, America’s first writing group.
It’s a half hour cutting of my full length play Fast Times at Walden Pond, a historical fiction that imagines the rise and fall of the Transcendentalists as if it all took place within the 2 years Thoreau spent in his cabin.
Emerson, Alcott, Hawthorne, Thoreau, Melville, Whitman and more show up to debate writing, expectations, fame, failure, and some jerk named Poe and his stupid bird poem.
It’s going to be fun. I’d love to see you there.
